What we collect

Who we are

This site is run by HummingWave Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which is responsible for the personal data collected through it. Our registered office:

If you write to us

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and optionally your company and a link, along with your message. If you reached the form from one of our engineering notes, it also records which one. We use this to reply to you and for nothing else.

What you send is emailed to the people at HummingWave who answer enquiries. It is not stored in a database on this site. We keep enquiries for up to seven years, and then delete them.

If you apply for a job

The application form asks for your name, your email address, the role, optionally a link and a CV, and a few sentences about something you built. We use this only to consider you for roles at HummingWave.

It is emailed to our hiring team, with the CV attached, and is not stored on this site. We keep applications, including CVs, for up to seven years, so that we can come back to you if a suitable role opens, and then delete them. If you would rather we deleted yours sooner, ask and we will.

Counting visits

We use Plausible Analytics to see which pages and which writing are read. It works without cookies and does not store IP addresses or any other personal data, so it cannot identify you or follow you from one site to another. Its data is kept in the European Union.

What we do not do

We do not set cookies or use tracking pixels, and Plausible is the only analytics on this site. We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of visitors.

Who handles it for us

These providers process data on our behalf, under their own data-processing terms. Amazon Web Services hosts this site and sends the emails the forms produce; like any web host, it keeps standard technical logs — IP addresses, pages requested, times — for security and operation. Google Workspace holds our email. Plausible counts visits, as described above. Their servers may be in India or elsewhere.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw an application at any time. Write to contactus@hummingwave.com — the same address answers questions about this page and complaints about how we have handled your data. We will respond within thirty days.

Children

This site is for businesses and job applicants, and is not directed at children.
